"We leave something of ourselves behind when we leave a place. We stay there, even though we go away. And there are things in us that we can find again only by going back there".
Those are the words that Pascal Mercier makes his character Amadeu de Prado write on his journal in the novel "Night Train to Lisbon". And it's exactly going back in Lisbon after 5 years that I've tried to give this quote a sense. At first I've felt like both me and the city had changed through the years but, despite this, the feelings I've felt walking its streets have been the same as they were five years ago. I like saying that photographers can easily see their changing just looking at the pics they have been taking through their lives; and I'm not only talking about the technique but also about how they see an object, which details catch more their attention. You can understand someone's personality from these simples things. The following photos I'll post might seem just some city's pictures for the most (in part they are) but for me they are a reflection of my being, a changing, a sort of proof that confirms what I've said before: different prospective but same feelings.
Hope you like them.
